Nelson Estate Jewelers is a full-service independent jewelry store in Mesa, Arizona.
Owner David Nelson opened the doors in 2017 after spending more than 15 years working in the jewelry trade across the Valley, buying and selling estate jewelry, learning diamond grading, mastering repair techniques, and building relationships with collectors, estates, and private sellers throughout Maricopa County.
That 15 years of hands-on experience before opening his own shop is what makes Nelson Estate Jewelers different from a startup.
By the time David opened the store on Baseline Road, he had already spent well over a decade evaluating thousands of pieces, negotiating with dealers, and developing the sourcing network that allows Nelson to price fine jewelry 40 to 60 percent below traditional retail.
Today David brings over 25 years of total jewelry industry experience to every transaction, whether you’re buying an engagement ring, selling inherited gold, getting a ring resized, or walking in to find out what a piece is worth.

No franchise fees or mall rent.
Nelson Estate Jewelers is independently owned.
There’s no corporate overhead, no franchise royalties, and no premium retail lease driving up the price of every piece in the case.
In-house fabrication from direct-buy materials. We source gold and diamonds directly from estate sellers, private individuals, and dealer networks rather than buying through multiple layers of wholesale markup.
When we fabricate custom pieces or restock inventory, the materials come from our own acquisitions.
Estate and consignment inventory. A significant portion of our inventory comes from estate purchases and consignment pieces.
These items enter the store at a fraction of retail cost, and we pass that pricing to you.

What We Do
Nelson Estate Jewelers is a complete jewelry operation under one roof.
Our Mesa location handles:
Buy. Estate jewelry, engagement rings, loose diamonds, gold and silver pieces, designer jewelry, watches, and one-of-a-kind finds. Our inventory changes regularly as new estate acquisitions and consignment pieces come in.
Sell. We buy gold in all forms, silver, platinum, palladium, diamonds, coins, bullion, watches, designer pieces, gemstones, and other valuables. Same-day cash offers based on current spot rates. No appointment needed.
Trade. Bring in pieces you no longer wear and trade toward something new. We work with you to make the numbers fair on both sides.
Repair. Ring resizing, prong retipping, stone replacement, chain soldering, clasp repair, pearl restringing, platinum welding, laser welding, rhodium plating, and more. All work is done in-house in our on-site workshop. We accept pieces from any store.
Custom Design. Work directly with David to design a piece from scratch. Bring your own stones, repurpose inherited jewelry, or start from nothing. The process runs from consultation through hand sketching, 3D CAD rendering, and in-house fabrication.
Appraisals. Complimentary verbal appraisals on any piece, no appointment needed. Insurance appraisals available on pieces purchased from our store.
Engraving. Professional laser engraving on gold, silver, platinum, and stainless steel. Script fonts, block text, custom graphics, and fine detail work. Most jobs completed same-day.
Giving Back to Mesa
United Food Bank Partnership. Nelson Estate Jewelers donates a minimum of $1.00 from every watch battery replacement to the United Food Bank.
Watch batteries are $5.00, making this one of the most affordable watch battery services in Mesa while directly supporting hunger relief in the Valley.
Local Artists Showcase. The artwork displayed throughout our showroom is created by local Arizona artists and is available for purchase.
Nelson Estate Jewelers provides the wall space at no cost to the artists, giving them a retail gallery presence inside an active, high-traffic business.

United Food Bank
A portion of all proceeds is donated to United Food Bank. A minimum of $1.00 from every watch battery replacement is donated; it’s time to end hunger.
